Role: Senior Account Manager (Oil & Gas)

Location: Mumbai

Reporting to: Senior Sales Manager

About the Role

Senior Account Manager will manage the territory or named accounts in the India region reporting to Senior Sales Manager – Head of India Mid Market within Southern region.

Main responsibilities:

In this role, you will

  • Provide focused efforts in acquiring business against competition, managing and increasing current business with existing accounts

  • To meet and exceed Orders & Revenue targets

  • Generate adequate business pipeline and provide accurate forecast to the management

  • Strategizing AVEVA’s footprint growth by identifying white space as well as competition install base. Plan for Demand Generation activities in collaboration with marketing and Product Specialist and lead generation team

  • Work with support function teams to identify and progress opportunities to drive growth in the identified accounts

  • Communicate status, plans and campaigns regarding all aspects of Sales and Business Development, and to support the monthly quarterly and reporting process

  • Ensure passionate learning to develop the selling skills, understanding of the nature of the customer’s problems and an ability to reframe these problems to the solutions AVEVA provides

  • Develop long term relationships with C level executives and key decision-makers so as to become a trusted advisor to clients

  • Comply with the Framework of ONE AVEVA for all policies and other written and verbal communication from the management

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience (12 years in a direct sale, account management) ideally selling software solutions serving, Infrastructure, O&G, Plant Owner Operators, EPC’s and /or Design consultants or B2B solutions with long sales cycles

  • Self-starter who sets aggressive self-goals and is driven to succeed both personally and professionally

  • Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment and capture quick wins to drive early momentum

  • Assertive sales professional with the ability to create compelling winning sales strategies and tactics at C-Level and functional management level

  • Analytical approach to the market

  • Strong C-level customer acumen and gravitas

  • Strong ability to create and drive effective account planning and deliver repeatable success

  • Proven ability to work cross-culturally

  • Excellent written and oral communication

  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization

  • Degree Level in Engineering, Business, Information Technology or relevant background in Process Industries, Manufacturing or Engineering Industry
