We are looking for a Security Operations Engineer to join our organization as we undergo the journey to ensure that the right virtualized endpoints are released with proper security protections. With your experience in engineering functions, knowledge of Azure Compute (including Azure AVD), Windows Server OS, enterprise infrastructure and overall service health and monitoring, you will champion our own identity-centric digital transformation and support hundreds of thousands of employees as they seek to empower every person on the planet to accomplish more.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities and drive the implementation of automation to improve service health, manageability, reliability and telemetry.

• Automate security protections such as asset security patching.

• Read, write, configure, design, and script end-to-end service telemetry, alerting and self-healing capabilities for platforms.

• Own, triage, investigate and resolve service issues with an emphasis on broad communications, learning & teaching throughout the process. • Author functional and technical documentation. Communicate on a deeply technical level with product engineering, project management and operations teams to improve and optimize products, improve infrastructure, and evolve services.

• Remain current on new technologies, methods and procedures including, but not limited to, coding practices such as Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or currently pursuing) in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field​

  • ​​OR 1+ year(s) of experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cyber security, anomaly detection, Security Operations Center (SOC) detection, threat analytics, security incident and event management (SIEM), information technology (IT), and operations incident response​

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS, GCIA, GCIH, OSCP, and/or Security+ certification​

  • Experience in Programming (Python, .Net or C# or equivalent).

  • Experience with writing tools, automation, and enhancements in arbitrary subcomponents of services/products to deliver and manage software in production (both around services, and within them).

  • Experience with PowerShell/Scripting, Windows Services infrastructure to automate day to day activities.

Security Operations Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $81,900 - $160,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $105,600 - $174,600 per year.
