Joining the Strategy, Enablement & Operations (SE&O) team within FastTrack for Azure (FTA) as a Principal Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in representing and advancing FTA's interests to both internal and external stakeholders, as well as own . Situated at the intersection of program management and advocacy, you will lead initiatives to engage employees and stakeholders, driving awareness and alignment with FTA's strategic objectives. As a Principal Program Manager - Advocacy you will oversee a team dedicated to advancing FTA's advocacy goals while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Responsibilities

Program Strategy and Development :

  • Design and implement advocacy programs that align with FastTrack for Azure (FTA) strategic objectives.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive plan to engage employees and stakeholders in FTA's advocacy efforts.

  • Identify and prioritize key issues for FTA to address through advocacy.

Stakeholder Engagement :

  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate and program stakeholders, including Program Mangers, domains, and regional and corporate stakeholders for FTA.

  • Coordinate with other groups in FTA to ensure consistent messaging and objectives.

  • Craft compelling messages and content to support FTA's advocacy objectives, such as talking points, briefing materials, and presentations.

  • Develop materials and resources for FTA's advocates to effectively communicate the organization’s positions.

  • Monitor and respond to relevant conversations and developments in social media and other platforms on behalf of FTA

  • Effectively steer FTA’s position across platforms such as events, newsletters, web presence and other scale engines

Program Management and Execution :

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of FTA's advocacy program, ensuring milestones and targets are met.

  • Organize events, webinars, or meetings to promote FTA's advocacy efforts and educate stakeholders.

  • Manage the budget for FTA's advocacy activities, ensuring resources are used efficiently.

Data Analysis and Reporting :

  • Track the performance of FTA's advocacy campaigns and initiatives, analyzing data to measure impact.

  • Prepare regular reports on the progress and outcomes of FTA's advocacy efforts for senior management.

  • Use insights from data to optimize future advocacy strategies and activities for FTA.

Leadership and Team Collaboration :

  • Lead and inspire the individuals and teams in FTA dedicated to advancing the organization's advocacy goals.

  • Foster a collaborative culture within FTAthatencourages innovative ideas and strategies for advocacy.

  • Serve as the main point of contact and spokesperson for FTA's advocacy program.

Manage FTA ’s presence in internal and external portals

  • Take charge of FTA's presence and representation in portals and other systems and tools.

  • Ensure that all advocacy-related content and materials are up-to-date, relevant, and effectively organized

  • Utilize Seismic's analytics and tools to monitor engagement with FTA's content, optimizing placement and visibility to maximize impact.

  • Facilitate the distribution of advocacy materials, ensuring easy access for employees and stakeholders within FTA.

  • Coordinate with internal portal administrators to maintain FTA’s advocacy campaigns and initiatives.

Storytelling :

  • Coordinate and develop FTA’s storytelling program, aligning with relevant roles in FTA to craft and manage compelling narratives across multiple platforms, while ensuring brand consistency, audience engagement, and alignment with strategic goals.

Key Knowledge

  • Expereince communication and presentation Skills: expereince in verbal and written communication, essential for creating compelling content and collaborating effectively with various teams and stakeholders.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex situations, identify challenges, and develop effective solutions.

  • Collaborative Leadership: Ability to work closely across Strategy, Enablement & Operations (SE&O) teams, as well as FTA Program Manger and engineering teams, driving improvements, and overseeing implementations.

  • Data-driven decision making: ability to identify and utilize relevant data insights for effective business and advocacy decision-making.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Required Qulifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 10+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management or business-related roles

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years direct people management experience leading teams which are functionally and geographically diverse.

  • Effective written and verbal communications skills

  • Strategic and creative thinker, with attention to detail

  • Experience with developing integrated marketing and content strategies

  • Proven ability to influence at multiple levels of the organization.

  • Results-focused with a deep sense of accountability and experience driving projects from start to finish.

  • Ability to educate and influence with high levels of ambiguity and tight deadlines

Customer Experience Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
