As the Engineering Excellence Practice Manager - Industry Solutions Delivery, you will lead a team of Business Program Managers and Architects to define, execute and scale world class Engineering Excellence practices across ISD – ensuring that the organization embraces engineering excellence. Making sure that we architect , build , deploy and scale every solution the right way. Responsibilities

  • Create a practice-wide culture of Engineering Excellence Industry oriented delivery, developing organizational knowledge and skillsets that drive delivery efficiencies and innovate opportunities based on industry trends, delivery success and the application of IP.

  • Lead and develop teams to deliver transformational consulting engagements in the context of a specific industry/ solution area and collaborate across Microsoft organizational boundaries and within partner communities to fully integrate Industry assets to maximize customer business value and outcomes.

  • Partner with leaders in your Area, Region, and across Industry Solutions Delivery organizational boundaries to ensure overall customer satisfaction and business outcomes , demonstrates leadership and full accountability for delivering Engineering Excellence practices across ISD.

  • Engineering Excellence Delivery: This role drives practice-wide continuous improvement rigor to increase organizational maturity and sets a high bar for delivery quality and architectural excellence. Resource orchestration, resource management, problem-solving across organizational boundaries, and mitigating risk are key Engineering Excellence responsibilities for this role.

  • Strategy: This role is accountable for executing against the Engineering Excellence strategy within ISD. This includes establishing the necessary business rhythms and controls to achieve consumption, revenue, and operational targets

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years relevant work experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years team leadership or people management experience either with or without direct reports.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years relevant work experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years people management experience.

  • 12+ years experience in sales/selling.

  • 6+ years project/portfolio management experience.

  • 2+ years account management experience.

Consulting Practice Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,700 - $241,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $151,100 - $260,400 per year.
