The Xbox Experiences and Platforms team is home to the engineering work that makes this vision possible, building the developer tools and services that enable game creators to craft incredible experiences, the commerce systems that connect publishers with their audience and help gamers engage with their next favorite games, the platforms on which those games play at their best, and the experiences that turn every screen into an Xbox.

Our Developer Engineering team is looking for a Software Engineer II for a Full Stack role. You will create services for game creators to help them deliver high-quality results quickly. This role offers the chance to take ownership of products or features and enhance the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a Highly Scalable Service : Design and build highly scalable, reliable, and low-latency services that meet the diverse needs of our customers across all game developer scenarios.

  • Contribute to Architecture Processes : Play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture of product and solution features by creating and refining architecture proposals, testing design hypotheses, and iterating on code plans under the mentorship of experienced technical leaders.

  • Solve Customer Pain Points : Identify and address customer pain points, delivering comprehensive end-to-end solutions that enhance user satisfaction and drive business value.

  • Collaborate Across Xbox and Game Studio s : Work closely with teams across Xbox to deliver integrated, seamless experiences that empower our 1PP and 3PP customers to achieve more with our services.

  • Commit to Code Quality and DevOps Excellence : Write clean, high-quality code and tests, while taking ownership of the entire DevOps lifecycle, ensuring smooth and reliable deployments.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications :

  • 3-4 years of software development experience, proficient in using programming languages such as C#/.NET, Java, or Node.js to build robust software solutions.

  • Working knowledge of Web and cloud technologies.

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, or related field, OR equivalent work experience.

  • Fluent communication skills in English, both written and spoken, to effectively collaborate with global teams and stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration Skills.

  • Demonstrated proficiencyat coding and design.

  • Strong Problem-Solving skills and ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex problems independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with using cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, demonstrating the ability to develop and deploy applications in cloud environments.

  • Experience with AI/ML a plus, but not required.
