Responsibilities

Your passion for creating solutions that bring value to our customers’ businesses and your professional, consultancy style approach will offer you the opportunity to get involved in a number of activities, including: 

  • Collaborating with Project Managers to jointly drive project and technical governance of the design, build, and deployment of proof of concepts (POCs), pilots and production deployments, using enterprise architecture processes and ensuring quality control through peer review. 

  • Leading virtual teams around technologies and customer/partner challenges by sharing ideas, insight, and strategic, technical input with technical teams, internal communities across the field, and the larger virtual team across Microsoft.

  • Leveraging a structured approach to Architecture projects using existing methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Iterative) that make use of existing reference architecture and established architectural styles and design patterns.

  • Gathering customer and partner insights from a broad range of stakeholders, as well as the main business sponsor, to shape and form both the definition and ongoing execution of projects.

  • Steering the adoption of Microsoft solutions technologies based on understanding of competitor solutions and how customer business value can be driven through Microsoft's offerings.

  • Participating in external architect community events (e.g., conferences, seminars, technical meetups, Webcasts, blogs, hackathons) and sharing learnings with internal team.

  • Acting a mentor to junior colleagues by educating them on technical and non-technical concepts and sharing best practices.

  • Identifying and evaluating industry trends (customer industry verticals, information technology industry).

Qualifications

With a combination of your architectural experience and your personable and consultative customer engagement style, you will be well positioned to succeed in this role.

Other skills and experiences that will be important in allowing you to add value include: 

  • Experience engaging in consulting engagements (including estimation models, scoping, development of budgetary estimates, writing proposals)

  • Regular involvement in presenting complex technical topics to both an executive and a technical audience

  • An ability to articulate architectural differences between solution methods and the challenges and approaches to integrating solutions built on different platforms

  • Ability to Architect, Design, Deploy Analytics solutions using Fabric Platform

  • Subject matter expertise in some of the following Areas:

  • Machine Learning production implementations and design patterns.

  • Azure Open AI LLM usage and RAG patterns

  • Modern Data Strategy frameworks and Architectures

  • Ability to leverage solution building blocks: Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Services, Azure Databricks, Python, .Net / Azure frameworks, Azure Data Factory.

  • Awareness of Data & Analytics Compete insights – Redshift, Snowflake, Teradata, SAGE Maker, Big Query, Hadoop (CDH)

  • Awareness of core OSS AI DL frameworks – PyTorch, Tensorflow
