Responsibilities

As a Data Security/Compliance Technical Specialist , your primary goal is to win the technical decision of customers to purchase and use our range of data security-focused solutions including Microsoft Purview and adjacent technologies.

You will work within a virtual team of technical, partner and consulting resources to educate your customers at a technical level, demonstrate and prove our solutions, and win the technical decision, allowing the team to achieve/exceed quarterly Microsoft Security sales/usage targets in your accounts. Being part of this team will allow you to maintain and develop your deep technical expertise across Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud-based security solutions, architectures, programs, and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with sellers and manager to understand opportunities, compete scenarios and engagements to focus on, engaging and driving to own and win the technical decisions

  • Remediate blockers; lead and ensure technical wins for Microsoft Purview Data Security and adjacent technologies. Engage with and reache out to customers proactively and independently; build credibility with customers as a trusted advisor for Microsoft Purview Data Security; search for and use Microsoft customer references; and drive customer intent to consume and drives handoff to customer success for post sales deployment.

  • Develop strategies and recommendations to improve the client's data security posture, shape technical win plan and tailor Microsoft messaging to audience for security opportunities. Enhance team capabilities for cloud native data security patterns and architectures; develop differentiated compete strategies for assigned customers.

  • Lead technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, architecture design sessions; explain, demonstrate, and architect the solution to help solve customer data security challenges and priorities.

  • Demonstrate and oversee proof of concepts, present and apply architecture patterns, prove capabilities and integration into customer environment, and drive cross-workload support for Microsoft solutions for data security. Leverage insights and coach teams to align new or changing technology to customer needs.

  • Engage with other teams within and outside the organization throughout the sales cycle. Engaging partners in sell-with scenarios and supporting their technical capabilities is key to scaling solution delivery.

  • Share knowledge and learnings with partners to drive the sale, deployment, and adoption of Microsoft solutions.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Significant technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND proven technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND demonstrable technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience

  • Proficiency in both spoken and written communication in English and German
