Microsoft Corporation Senior Product Manager in Multiple Locations, Costa Rica

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to help lead core security initiatives that protect the customer’s data, services and overall Microsoft. This role will focus on driving and defining the details of the vision for Office 365 services and security that services and applications should follow. There will be opportunities to work with Entra ID team to help define work that moves forward with combined security efforts. This role will allow you to work with multiple teams across the ecosystem to help guide them on the correct usage of the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Write functional product specifications for requirements and metric definitions for core features.

  • Deliver modern security platform that can help reduce area of impact and prevent bad actors form accessing data.

  • Drive partner adoption of features through best practices and on-boarding documentation as well as influence end customer decisions through documentation.

  • Work with architects and senior staff to define improvements and the road map or guide towards these improvements ona timely fashion for the product.

  • Solve and simplify complex problems in scale, availability, performance for security and cost areas, as the platform serves many apps at massive scale with tight SLA requirements.  

  • Work with partner teams to understand needs and translate them to well defined and prioritized scenarios & product requirements to resolve any issues.  Help build strong relationships with partners as they build on our platform. 

  • Define Objectives and Key results along with metrics (KPIs) and SLAs to measure success of our platform investments. Design monitoring capabilities and telemetry to support the SLA agreements with partners.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Experience in authentication, authorization, and security platforms and standards are preferred but not required. 

  • Must have sound technical knowledge of security and cloud-based platforms & databases.

  • Ability to easily grasp high cloud scale & distributed architectures. Must be able to go deep witharchitects and technical fellows.

  • Track record of being a creative problem solver for technical or product issues. Has an eye to innovate and deliver platform capabilities that provide high impact.

  • Deep focus on customers means delivering awesome and secure experiences & capabilities for our application developers. 

  • Adept in creating the right agendas, moving discussions forward and making solid progress towards the outcomes. Tracking hard problems end-end across partner teams. Experience working in leadership roles is preferred but not required. 

  • Learning new technologies, AI model and security protocols, incorporate plans and ideas to leverage them.  

  • Experience working with enterprise customers, both technical and business, and at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Outstanding collaboration and partnership skills. Ability to influence partners is key in helping build relationships with empathy and managing conflicts while pursuing the right outcomes for our customers & service.  

  • Must be a highly driven individual, able to operate with less supervision, build plans, drive clarity in pursuing the outcomes we want. 

  • Good writing skills and communication capabilities.
