Our client, a multinational technology corporation is seeking a Service Engineer/Senior Linux Administrator with expertise in writing systems-administrative code and scripting in a batch language to join their team. As a Service Engineer/Sr Linux Administrator on this Team, you will assist with deconstructing an existing Azure service and documenting and maintaining the process. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in Linux Systems Administration, complex system automation and Azure to align well with this organization.
Job Title: Service Engineer Senior Linux Administrator
Location: Remote USA
Pay Range: $65-70/HR on Experis W2
What’s the Job?
Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to support the Company Silicon development efforts. All the custom computer chips that go into some key products. They design the work for the AI accelerator in the custom CPUs. They manage the IT systems to enable that engineering primarily in high performance compute and device validation support.
Key projects: This role will be deconstructing an existing Azure service that was created by an internal team who has been disbanded. A few teams depend on the service, therefore this team has been charged with documenting and maintaining the process.
The role will consist of the following,
Starting off in the role:
50% meetings while determine context and usability
50% heads down deconstructing and documenting
Then will transition to 12% meetings
50% heads down deconstructing and documenting
What’s Needed?
10+ overall years of experience in the IT field.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field is required.
10+ years of experience with Linux systems administration—Red Hat Variant
10+ years of experience with complex system automation ; nice to have electronic design automation experience
1+ years of experience with Azure
