Google Senior Software Engineer, Silicon Engineering Productivity in Mountain View, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., C++ and C), and with data structures/algorithms.

  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

  • Experience creating system design specifications and documentation.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.

  • Experience in Python, TypeScript, Angular.

  • Experience working in cloud platform.

  • Familiarity with industry standard tools and infrastructure embedded systems or chip design and testing.

In this role, you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions. You will develop and maintain our data centers to build the next generation of Google platforms. You will keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $161,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Write and test product or system development code.

  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.

  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.

  • Design systems to simplify the setup and maintenance of Continuous integration (CI), code coverage, power and performance analysis.

  • Improve development efficiency across the silicon organization through tooling improvements.
