Google Senior Embedded Software Engineer, Machine learning Runtime, Silicon in Mountain View, California
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in C++ and embedded systems.
3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
2 years of experience with software frameworks for mobile ML or graphics (e.g., TFLite, Vulkan, OpenCL, CUDA, etc.).
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, a related technical field with an emphasis on Embedded System Software or ML systems.
Experience with machine learning algorithms and computer architecture.
Experience with on-device ML (e.g., NLP, image and computer vision, on-device Generative AI).
Experience in mobile platform such as Android or iOS.
Experience working with hardware and ML accelerators.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $161,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Develop on-device runtime software stack to deploy Machine learning (ML) models on mobile devices.
Track and drive performance and power optimizations to enable large on-device models.
Support customers with quickly deploying their ML models to the Tensor Processing Unit (TPU).
Work with application software teams to prototype and enable new use cases on Tensor SoCs.
Participate in, or lead technical design reviews with peers and stakeholders.
