What You'll Get To Do:

This position is responsible for managing relationships and growing global EMBD business with targeted OEM customers in North America.

Deliver Results

  • Contribute to the profitable growth of Panasonic Electronic Materials Business worldwide by driving specification and qualification of focus products with target OEMS and their supply chain partners in designated market segments.

  • Identify, communicate, and act on new business opportunities.

  • Act as the primary customer-facing contact for Panasonic Electronic Materials US Research and Marketing organization. Convey professionalism and embody Panasonic business principles.

  • Effectively communicate in person, via phone/web conference and in writing with various roles internally and externally i.e., engineering, R&D, procurement/supply chain, executive management, etc. including preparing and delivering effective presentations.

Marketing

  • Gather and communicate salient customer information, market information, competitive information, and technical/business trends.

  • Support initiatives from marketing, R&D, corporate and other Panasonic entities.

  • Assist R&D and Marketing with product management and strategic introduction of new products.

  • Effectively and professionally represent Panasonic Electronic materials business at industry events like trade shows, expos, and technical conferences.

Technical Advisor on marketing/sales trends

  • Advise marketing, sales, management and R&D regarding business and technical topics and trend to assist in the development of operational and strategic plans.

  • Analyze trends, marketing practices, market cycles, market size and potential customers.

Administrative

  • Write reports and distribute as required. Complete monthly, weekly, and other reports in a timely manner.

  • Document customer visits on call reports

  • Operate effectively in a complex organization. Gain the support of sponsors, champions, and other stakeholders to achieve objectives.

  • Collaborate with management, peers, colleagues, business units and other stakeholders.

  • Represent Panasonic values in a professional and competent manner internally and when working with customers, partners, conferences, and other internal and external interactions.

  • Exercise financial responsibility in terms of travel and other expenditures.

Scope

  • This position will not manage direct reports. Must practice leadership through influence.

  • This position will manage business development with global OEM customers

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Science, etc.)

  • 5 -10 years of experience preferred open to 10 plus in customer/ market facing role in the Electronic Materials industry

  • In-depth knowledge of relevant technology (Printed circuits boards, IC Packaging, Electronic Assembly, etc.) and relevant industry sector (Networking, Mobile, Aerospace, Automotive, etc.)

  • Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite with a strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed, including a valid passport, clear driving record and credit score.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% domestically. Ability to travel internationally twice per year.

  • Proven ability to work independently from a home office with minimal supervision.

Preferred Job Requirements

  • Experience in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector

  • More than 10 years of experience in customer facing role in the Electronic Materials Industry

  • Advanced degree in engineering/science or MBA

  • Multilingual, Mandarin Chinese preferred

  • Experience in working in a Japanese company

  • Ability to grasp and internalize team goals/objectives and provide support of divisional plan.

Other Requirements

  • 50% travel (mandatory) some of which may be International

The wage range of $135,000 - $155,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. *The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
