In this new paradigm of hybrid work, The Places Team has an opportunity to optimize our physical spaces into centers that magnify our company’s culture and mission, create belonging, and ensure team connectedness. In this role you will directly contribute to this effort by managing and developing our site engagement and site leadership program.

As the Manager 3, Program Management - Site Leadership & Engagement you will develop and maintain a site engagement program across all of our global offices that immerses employees in our culture, and connects employees to our mission and their teammates. This will be achieved through partnering with leaders across our global sites to: a) Amplify our culture with experiences that foster connections and collaboration across our sites, b) Establish community presence through local partnerships for volunteering and giving, c) Foster engagement within each site by applying a learning mindset to help leaders and teams experience the benefits of working in hybrid, and d) Ensure physical safety and emotional well-being by leveraging partners and programs for employee support and issue resolution.

In this work, you will be partnering closely with a large cross-functional team, including the wider Places team, HR Business Partners, Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Site Leadership, Employee Resource Groups, Communications, Brand Transformation, Workplace, We Care & Give Back and drivers in our business and functional organizations.

What you'll bring

  • 10+ years of work experience in a large, global company with increasing ownership and responsibility for culture, community leadership / cultivation, or learning and talent development.

  • 3+ years of strategy consulting and/or marketing research and/or employee listening and analytics experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to distill critical insights from data and package those insights in a way that can influence others and drive action.

  • Outstanding communications (written/verbal), presentation and facilitation skills, including experience influencing C-level executives.

  • Experience inspiring, leading and developing members of the team.

  • Track record of creating clear enterprise level strategies and driving to execution; strong creativity in problem solving and deep customer (employee) empathy.

  • Proven ability to build strong senior relationships and create / nurture a wide internal and external network.

  • Highly self-motivated, creative, and willing to proactively take the lead to drive impact.

  • Action-oriented self-starter who can inspire and motivate a broad community of others to deliver for our employees.

  • Ability to execute and drive end-to-end impact across organizational boundaries and through matrixed teams without direct reporting authority.

How you will lead

The Manager 3, Program Management - Site Leadership & Engagement is responsible for creating, executing, and evaluating the employee engagement program across all of our global locations. Additionally, you'll collaborate with executive leaders to provide effective site leadership during critical events and significant cultural moments. This leader will drive transformational change in partnership with internal and external partners to establish engagement initiatives that foster a positive work environment and amplify our company culture.

This role will focus on engagement programs and offerings that bring employees together, outside of their teams, to connect with employees and leaders across the site, driving and stewarding a range of efforts to collect and leverage feedback to deliver meaningful experiences that connect and inspire employees in an environment where they feel valued and supported.

It is essential that the leader in this role be able to establish rapport, credibility, trust, and respect with stakeholders across the company, and be able to work collaboratively with others in a results-oriented manner. As this team engages at senior levels of the company, the individual must have exceptional leadership capability, strong communication skills, and a hunger to learn and drive change at the global and local levels.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Take an end-to-end view of engagement across the company, ensuring consistent and rigorous execution of engagement-related action plans by key leaders in the business, functions, HR, Workplace and beyond. Drive transformational change of how we engage employees, galvanizing key partners, incorporating data, and embracing a bias for action to iterate and improve the approach over time.

  • Define the framework for employee engagement and own execution against its playbook, delivering for the company globally across both hybrid and virtual worker communities; enable local relevance while driving scaled execution globally.

  • Own the employee listening strategy in partnership with People Analytics, Research and Technology team (PART) and Communications partners to define how we measure employee engagement in our next chapter of work, including our biannual Pulse Survey and other listening methods. Close the loop with employees to create two-way dialogue.

  • Drive and orchestrate insightful discussions on Pulse results with CEO Staff and their teams together with PART and the HR Business Partners. In addition, work to define and implement metrics and diagnostics that further our culture, including employee connectedness and belonging.

  • Continuously steep in the data, external benchmarks and practices, and exhibit a Day 1 mindset about what we are learning and what opportunities we have. Drive and shepherd follow-up actions and initiatives that address opportunities surfaced in employee listening to improve employee engagement and experience.

  • Define our blueprint for engagement and culture driving roles at sites (including Site Leaders) and support the staffing of these roles, working with P&P Senior Leadership to surface candidates and/or marshal resources where appropriate.

  • Strategic Planning - build and execute a site engagement strategy that aligns with our mission, values, and business outcomes. Work in partnership with site leaders to develop a calendar of local engagement events and communication strategies for visibility and impact

  • Active Listening and Deep Customer Empathy (VOE) - Work in partnership with local site teams to better understand the pulse of engagement to inform and shape site engagement strategies and offerings

  • Stakeholder / Internal Partner Engagement - strategic relationship building and partnerships to bring the engagement strategy and priorities to life at the sites. Internal partners include the Places team, Executive Administrative Business Partners, Site Leaders, Employee Resource Group Program Managers, We Care Give Back/Corporate Responsibility team, and local engagement councils.

  • Build and Support Local Site Engagement Teams - working in partnership with local leaders, drive the selection and onboarding processes to identity the right leaders for engagement at the site to lead the local engagement councils and/or extended site leadership teams

  • Inspire and cultivate grassroots contribution that augments our site community including: skills-based, interest-based, and geography-based communities to drive a greater sense of employee connectedness and belonging.

  • Site Events and Activity Design and Support - Collaborate with, and empower local engagement councils to design and host innovative onsite events for volunteering, celebrating our culture of diversity, inclusion, and belonging, and fostering social connections, aligned to business outcomes for workplace and employee engagement

  • Contribute to and partner with our event and experience team to drive delivery of marquee employee facing events that foster engagement and amplify our people-first culture (e.g. State of the Company, end of year celebration).

  • Be a thought-leader externally through publishing and speaking engagements in this space to fortify Intuit’s employer brand as a leading employee-centric company.

  • Manage a team of direct reports to drive and deliver the site leadership program globally.
