Intuit Director Business Development in Mountain View, California

Overview

The Director of Business Development for the QuickBooks Segment will be responsible for defining and executing on all aspects of the partnership strategy from inception to delivery as part of a new business within Intuit. This executive will build and lead the partnerships organization for the both segments, responsible for developing the partnerships strategy, partnering with key internal stakeholders across product, engineering, marketing, sales and support. They will partner closely with the senior leadership team to ensure alignment with other aspects of the Small Business & Self-employed platform, product and partnerships ecosystem. The right candidate will be a strategic and ambitious visionary with the proven ability to deliver impactful partnerships that deliver exceptional value to the end customers, partners and Intuit. Furthermore, this leader should be highly motivated to succeed, and empower his/her team to do so, in an approachable manner, that engenders trust and confidence at all levels across the organization.

They will have demonstrated success in delivering products and partnership deals to market that are cutting edge and have proven business value, creating synergies across multiple product and services lines, and successfully developing and mentoring talent.● Seasoned strategic partnerships / business development executive with 10+ years-experience● Strategic thinker who can create and develop the long-term vision and also a strong personal contributor who loves the work with a desire to “roll-up their sleeves”● Strong people leader with a proven track record of recruiting top talent and coaching team members on their career journeys● Understanding of the nuances across online marketplaces, ecommerce platforms and how ecosystems play a critical role in the success of our business by providing value to our SMBs● Deep experience in negotiating complex partnership deals, taking overall ownership for the deal team working through product, GTM, commercial and legal aspects of the agreement● Experience defining and executing strategic growth initiatives in large, distributed organizations with quantified results for customers and the business through constant learning and experimentation● Successful track record in developing and bringing to life partnership strategies in collaboration with product and GTM leaders in a build / buy / partner environment● Experience building strong teams and setting the tone for a high-trust environment. Proven ability to build, motivate, and mentor an exceptional product team to support growth● An accomplished presenter with an executive presence who possesses persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal, and can successfully articulate the vision, product and strategy, as well as the critical issues and priorities when engaging with senior internal and partner executives● Creative and innovative problem solver with a strong ability to execute and deliver bottom line results● Outstanding analytical skills and the ability to assess disparate data streams and distill them into meaningful, actionable insights and recommendations● Bachelor’s degree in combination with MBA preferred

How you will lead

● Thought Leadership: Be a strategic advisor for Product Leaders in how partnerships can accelerate strategies to win. Be a deep expert in mid-market (1-99 ees) , and SMB and how partnerships play an enormous role in their success through innovations● Revenue: Revenue accountability across the portfolio of business. Manage a team who will create new, game changing revenue opportunities (new & existing partners)

● M&A: Working closely with the Segment teams to provide financial analysis and business insight that will form the strategic rationales for M&A and partnership, target selection and deal justification● Strategy: Developing short, medium, and long-term partnership plans based on our business objectives and work cross functionally with marketing, product, engineering, sales and customer success teams to inform and shape the product roadmap to help achieve our goals● Leadership: Significant experience of clearing roadblocks, mediating disputes, celebrating successes, and using operating mechanisms to continually assess progress and improve
