Google Business Analyst, Regulatory Affairs in Mountain View, California

This role may also be located in our Playa Vista, CA campus.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Quantitative Science, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4 years of experience working in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role.

  • Experience in SQL or comparable coding language (e.g. Python, R, Java, C++).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience with designing experiments, developing statistical models, measurement, and identifying business opportunities.

  • Experience in data analysis, with the ability to solve problems in complex, fast-moving, and ambiguous business environments through solid data intuition and business acumen.

  • Experience contributing to large, complex and cross-functional projects from conception to implementation.

  • Experience influencing leadership on decision making.

  • Familiarity with tech regulatory landscape, industry trends, and datasets.

  • Ability to effectively communicate analysis and recommendations across a wide range of non-technical audiences.

As a Business Analyst you will work closely with members of Regulatory Affairs and technical partner teams to provide data insights that drive faster and smarter decision making. You will leverage analytical, strategic, and project management skills to support our senior leaders to make informed decisions that enable their teams to execute efficiently and effectively.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $111,000-$163,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Gather, research, and analyze regulatory data and intelligence, including externally (e.g., industry, peers), to produce detailed analysis, models, and recommendations for decision making.

  • Prepare and deliver internal reports and data insights for both internal teams and client teams (e.g., PAs).

  • Perform externally research to benchmark regulatory analysis capabilities.

  • Help define and produce functional and team-specific KPIs and data-driven business narratives.
