Job Description

The Electronic Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving our automation systems. This role requires a deep understanding of various PLC platforms, SCADA systems, and IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic and electrical systems, with a focus on automation and control.

Salary range - $35 -$42/hr. depending on level of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Allen Bradley, Automation Direct, and Schneider PLC systems.

  • Develop and modify PLC logic and programs to improve system performance and efficiency.

  • Integrate and support various SCADA platforms and ensure seamless interoperability with PLC logic.

  • Manage servers, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Administer Active Directory, manage user accounts, and ensure security protocols are followed.

  • Configure and maintain firewall policies to protect network integrity.

  • Provide remote desktop support to resolve technical issues for end-users.

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot radio and telemetry communication systems.

  • Work with Modbus, Modbus+, Modcas, and Prosoft communication protocols.

  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operation of all automation systems.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Allen Bradley, Automation Direct, and Schneider PLC systems.

  • Extensive knowledge of SCADA platforms and their integration with PLC systems.

  • Experience with server management, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Proficiency in Active Directory and firewall policy management.

  • Strong skills in remote desktop support.

  • Experience with radio and telemetry communications.

  • Understanding of Modbus, Modbus+, Modcas, and Prosoft communication protocols is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in relevant PLC or SCADA systems.

  • Experience with cybersecurity best practices for industrial control systems.

  • Knowledge of industrial networking and communication protocols.
