Typical Duties:

Supervision:

  • Supervise assigned staff, including but not limited to: hiring, training and evaluating performance of staff;

  • Develop and maintain schedules of supervised staff to ensure necessary client services and staff support of the Elmore County office;

  • Coordinate or conduct training for staff to perform office support duties and ensure accuracy and adherence to agency policies and procedures, forms completion, and data entry;

  • Monitor quality of work and coach staff for improvement, as needed;

  • Assign and prioritize workload of supervised staff with a focus on internal and external customer service;

  • Resolve conflicts and performance issues;

  • Conduct regular check-in’s with staff;

  • Ensure client needs are met.

    Administrative Support:

  • Plan, coordinate and oversee day-to-day operations of office;

  • Provide primary support for CDH's Division of Family and Clinic Services and Division of Community and Environmental Health services in Elmore County;

  • Coordinate data collection needed for reports;

  • Provide on-site expertise for processing payments, writing permits, processing inspections and applicable research and process transmittals for city/county approvals;

  • Maintain office supplies, equipment, clinic equipment, vaccine inventory and temperature monitoring system for vaccines;

  • Support meetings, training, emergency exercises.

    Other duties:

  • Promote services within the community;

  • Participate in emergency preparedness training to fulfill emergency response role if needed.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of office support functions;

  • Some knowledge of supervisory practices.

    Experience:

  • Interpreting, applying and explaining complex information such as regulations, policies or services;

  • Independently solving problems/performing liaison activities to deal with individuals or resolve conflicts in a work setting.

    Preferred Qualifications (these are not required, however, having these qualifications may increase your overall ranking):

  • Have the ability to speak both English and Spanish.
