Robert Half Tax Accountant in Mountain Brook, Alabama
Description We are in the process of expanding our team in Mountain Brook, Alabama, and are actively seeking a Tax Accountant. The individual in this role will primarily focus on tax-related tasks across multiple entities, collaborating with both our internal team and external CPA firms. This role provides a unique opportunity to evaluate business deals from a tax perspective and engage in comprehensive tax research and analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Preparation of over 100 tax returns using specialized tax software
• Coordinate with external CPA firms for review and signing of tax returns
• Handle interactions with tax authorities at both the state and federal level
• Execute quarterly tax estimate calculations
• Conduct in-depth tax research and analysis to support business decisions
• Evaluate potential business deals from a tax standpoint
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations
• Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies
• Maintain accurate records of all tax-related activities
• Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements • Proficiency in Compliance, with an emphasis on ensuring adherence to all relevant laws, policies, and regulations
• Experience with Compliance Audit, demonstrating ability to conduct thorough checks and correct any discrepancies
• Knowledge of Corporate Tax Compliance, ensuring the organization's adherence to tax laws
• Familiarity with Corporate Tax Return preparation and submission
• Expertise in Tax - Research & Development, capable of studying and implementing new tax laws and regulations
• Proficiency in Tax - Returns, capable of preparing and filing all types of tax returns accurately
• Expertise in Tax - Research & Planning, with the ability to strategize for optimal tax benefits
• Strong grounding in Tax Accounting, with skills in calculating taxes, preparing tax payments, and ensuring compliance with regulations
• Familiarity with Tax Compliance Processes, with a focus on streamlining and improving processes for efficiency
• Experience in Tax Planning Strategies, with proven ability to minimize tax liability through strategic planning
• Demonstrated skills in Tax Preparation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all tax-related tasks
• Proficiency in Tax Reporting, with an emphasis on clear and accurate reporting of all tax-related information.
