PACCAR Inc. System Integration Test Supervisor in Mount Vernon, Washington

Requisition Summary The System Integration Test Supervisor will work alongside and lead a group focused on the integration and verification of vehicle systems such as Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), Autonomous Vehicle Platforms (AVP), and others. The role is responsible for managing the group workload and work processes, identifying potential improvements, and constantly increasing overall levels of test coverage. The Systems Integration Test Supervisor will work closely, and often side-by-side, with their direct reports to achieve the team's goals. Job Functions / Responsibilities Leadership and Direction: * Performs as a team player, supporting and carrying out higher level decisions in a positive manner * Fosters a team environment - coaches personnel to work together to resolve issues, share knowledge and abilities, and learn independent decision-making * Schedules group activities and resolves resource conflicts * Actively looks for new ideas, trends, and technologies that will allow PACCAR to enhance the product and/or reduce costs * Leads optimization efforts through hands-on work and understanding of technical details * Challenges the status quo of current testing methodologies Employee Performance and Development: * Works with staff to establish annual goals. Reviews personnel performance for progress and improvement. Counsels and develops personnel to exceed expectations * Prepares and conducts annual performance reviews for each direct report * Ensures staff receives appropriate training for safety and equipment operation Project Management: * Develop, track, and report testing related metrics * Coordinates with other department roles to manage group resources to complete department tasks. * Manages resources to balance workload between projects and programs * Assists in implementing aSPICE best practices * Uses Six Sigma techniques to effectively improve processes Qualifications BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other appropriate engineering discipline 3 years minimum in development, test, or definition of vehicle systems Experience with Controller Area Network (CAN) operation, especially J1939 Proven ability to lead in a team environment Excellent technical and communication skills Ability to manage personal workload and willingness, flexibility and initiative to respond to shifting time and project demands Strong presentation skills Experience with dSpace products a plus Experience testing on vehicle a plus Division Information PACCAR is a Fortune 500 company established in 1905.
