Division Information The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington. Job Functions / Responsibilities Serves as a Powertrain Controls Validation Engineer and subject matter expert for developmentalvalidation programs providing insight to software development team, and trackingof all related validationtesting. Builds test plans and conducts System Acceptance and Property Validation testingasassigned. Coordinates and conducts validation testing specially requested by variousPACCAR Divisions. Conducts hands-on in truck vehicle validationtesting. Participates in set up of tests, verifies that test equipment and instrumentation equipment meetspecified requirements and performs software and datachecks. Plans and coordinates projects of moderate complexity, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery, while analyzing requirements, discussing with requesters, and formulating preliminary plans, budgets, and schedules with minimal supervision. Writes reports as appropriate incorporating all results, conclusions andrecommendations. Establishes and maintains cooperative and productive work relations with allotherdepartments. Familiarity with advanced diagnostic issues and experience working to root cause problems. Qualifications 3-5 years of relevant work experience preferred. Experience with vehicle software highly desired. Ability to manage personal workload and willingness, flexibility and initiative to respond to shifting time and project demands. Ability to summarize technical issues and communicateeffectively. Self-directed, excellent analysis and technical judgmentrequired. Powertrain hardware and software testing experience a plus. Knowledge of commercial vehicle technologies and customer usage patterns. Experience working with heavy-duty truck related technical projects of significant scope.
