PACCAR Inc. Engine Production Compliance Engineer Job in Mount Vernon, Washington

Requisition Summary PACCAR Technical Center seeks a motivated engineer to join the Engine Production Compliance team. The successful candidate will have knowledge of and work to support CARB/EPA agency mandated Manufacturer Self Testing (MST) and Deterioration Factor (DF) validation testing. Job Functions / Responsibilities Work to deliver on CARB and EPA postproduction engine compliance test programs Identify test articles from the field by analyzing warranty history and fault history Create and manage precision failed part for On-Board Diagnostic demonstration testing Develop and manage project schedule and test plans Support test setup and test execution on engine dynamometer Perform data analysis and assist with root cause identification as required Assist in preparing regulatory compliance reports and supporting documentation Make recommendations for continuous process improvements Collaborates with U.S. and European engineering teams to build team knowledge, creates and maintain traceable documentation to ensure accurate compliance reporting Qualifications Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience Proficient in troubleshooting engine and aftertreatment systems Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio Fluent in data processing and reporting Experience with ATI Vision, Vector CANalyzer or other similar tools Experience with automotive or heavy-duty On-Board diagnostic systems Experience creating technical documentation or process documentation Excellent written and verbal communication skills Interested in working in a dynamic organization Must be self-directed with the ability to manage personal workload and schedule Ability to travel, up to 4 weeks a year, both domestic and international Working knowledge of CAN systems (Preferred) Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical, mechanical, computer or other engineering discipline or computer science required.
