The Role
Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable
Properly utilize and maintain hand tools and equipment; wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, climbing hooks etc.
Properly operate mechanized equipment; bucket trucks, digger derrick, excavator etc.
Ensure timely completion of daily tasks
Provide a high level of customer service when interfacing with internal and external customers
Maintain safety as the #1 priority for all team members: ensuring adherence to company safety standards and all federal, state, and local laws
Maintain safety perimeter using signage, cones, safety barriers, etc.
Complete routine inventory control and maintenance inspections (vehicle, tool and material)
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
2+ Years of relevant aerial construction experience required, completion of lineman school preferred
Valid Driver’s License required, Class A CDL
Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
Ability to safely work utilizing climbing hooks and ladders
Ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment
Ability to read and understand prints/maps, safety rules and operating instructions
Able to perform duties in telecommunications construction such as; pole transfers, maintenance builds, new build, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction
Ability to complete work indoors, outdoors, in tight spaces and elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working while standing up to 70% of the time
Ability to safely work and navigate various terrains and job sites
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed
