The Station Break Senior Center
Position: Assistant Nutrition Site Coordinator
Full-Time: 30-35 hour per week
First Shift: 8:00am - 2:00pm sometimes 3:00pm
Monday - Friday
Qualification: Must be 21 years of age, must relate to aging population and maintain a professional and flexible demeanor to ensure program mission and objective. Must have 1-2 years' experience with regulatory compliance and public service or equivalent of. Knowledge of word, excel, and power point. Ability to help coordinate a daily nutrition program. Must be able to prioritize and plan multiple tasks efficiently. Able to lift 50lbs. Ability to assist in the daily kitchen tasks. Must be able to order and prepare food. Must have a valid Ohio driver's license and current automobile insurance, and able to pass a physical, drug, and alcohol test and criminal background check. Must have High School Diploma or GED. Serv Safe preferred. Directly responsible to the Nutrition Site Coordinator. Must apply in person at 160 Howard Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio.
Duties:
1. Coordinate and assist with daily food preparation with the Nutrition Site Coordinator.
2. Assist with ordering, inventory and cleanup of food prepared on-site.
3. Assist with completing required forms for compliance with the Area Agency on Aging, Inc.
4. Assist with Site Council and follow up on complaint issues regarding nutrition.
5. Complete required training as required by the Ohio Department of Aging, the Area Agency on Aging, the Knox County Health Department, Serve Safe Food Program, and the Station Break.
6. Oversee nutrition program in the absence of the Nutrition Site Coordinator.
7. Attend staff meetings.
8. In the event of an emergency, you may be required to cover a home delivered meal route.
