Description:
Our client, one of the world’s largest agricultural processors and food ingredient providers, is looking to build their laboratory team in the Evansville/Mount Vernon area! Join them in their mission of providing only top-tier products utilized for food, animal feed, industrial and energy uses! In this opportunity, you'll receive hands-on training on unique laboratory machines specifically made for the product you'll be working with! This is an amazing career-growth opportunity for professionals who are looking to get their "foot-in-the-door" in a manufacturing laboratory that allows for numerous routes in learning and growth! Once trained, the laboratory technician will be expected to work independently, and will run the lab alongside the manager when she is available! You'll be expected to report onsite Monday through Friday weekly, and every other weekend* at the following times:
Monday - Friday | 3:00pm - 11:00pm
Saturday (every other week*) | 7:00pm - 11:00pm
Sunday (every other week*) | 11:00pm - 7:00am
starting rate of $17/hr
Daily Rundown
Running lab instrumentation for flour & corn milling
Instrumentation includes but is not limited too: NIR, pH meter, ovens, and other industry specific equipment.
Collecting and analyzing samples and results
Detailed documentation of lab results to relay to manufacturing
Report to the lab manager on any findings that need to be escalated
Skills:
Environmental: Gmp, Production, Manufacturing
Quality: Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Quality Testing, Quality Specialty
Studies: Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Wet chemistry,
Laboratory Skills: Titration, Inspection, Hplc, Chemical, Sample, Viscosity, Production
Must Haves:
High School Diploma (2+ Years of Post High School Scientific Education preferred)
1+ years of industry lab experience (can be from school)
Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
Data entry experience (including familiarity in Microsoft)
Ability and interest working overtime, every other weekend, and 2nd/3rd shift
