Position Summary:

Central Michigan University School of Music seeks a sabbatical replacement Lecturer of Music in Flute. One-semester, part-time, benefit eligible fixed-term, non-tenure-track position beginning January 4, 2024 and ending on May 8, 2024.

Duties: Teach undergraduate and graduate applied flute students. Teach in related areas subject to the candidate's expertise and the needs of the School of Music.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in music • Outstanding performance skills • Successful teaching experience • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations

About the Department:

The School of Music is located in a state-of-the-art 119,000 square foot facility with a 500-seat concert hall housing a 61-rank Casavant organ, a 100-seat recital hall, recording facilities, and 79 practice rooms. The School of Music has 30 full- and part-time faculty and an enrollment of over 400 undergraduate and graduate majors and minors.
