Position Summary:

The Department of Philosophy, Anthropology, and Religion at Central Michigan University invites applications for a one-year full-time Lecturer I position in archaeology to begin August 2024.

The successful candidate will teach four sections per semester. The four sections will be a combination of ANT 174: Inequality in the Ancient World and ANT 175: Archaeology of the Americas. Course sections may be writing-intensive, non-writing intensive, or a combination of the two. Some of the sections may be offered in an online 8-week format; in-person sections will be taught on our campus in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.

Required Qualifications:

• MA in Anthropology (must be completed no later than August 2024). • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
