Join PARTNERS in Architecture, PLC as a Project Architect!  PARTNERS is an energized and growing mid-size architectural firm primarily serving clients throughout Southeast Michigan.  We are a team oriented architectural studio committed to providing excellent design and technical ingenuity with a focused customer service approach.  Our clients include local, regional, and Federal public institutions, K-12 school districts, and higher educational facilities. 

This is a career opportunity for a self-starting professional to excel and grow as you explore opportunities at PARTNERS. As a Project Architect you will be working with designers and senior level architects to solve complex problems through all stages of project development.  You will be integrating architectural, structural and MEP solutions to produce all phases of project design and technical documentation and will support construction administration efforts through project completion.   

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Development of design and construction documents.
  • Generation and development of technical details.
  • Providing quality assurance throughout project development to assure coordination between all disciplines.
  • Communicating with clients to validate decisions.
  • Participating in the development of preliminary estimates, budgets and schedules.
  • Assisting in the selection of products and development of specifications.
  • Incorporating zoning, environmental and safety requirements into design solutions, and ensuring code compliance with authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff in their professional development.
  • Construction Phase participation to resolve problems and deliver solutions.
  • Perform field visits to support project efforts including documenting existing conditions, validating construction progress and accepting work in place.
  • Maintaining client relationships.
  • Demonstrating and promoting a high level of integrity and professional values.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Architectural degree from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of three years of experience working in an architectural office.
  • Experience with public projects, with preference on municipal, higher-ed and K-12.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, and other design software platforms.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and other general business software.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and manage time effectively.
