The Mechanical Circulatory Support Operating Unit is part of the Cardiovascular portfolio and is focused on the ongoing care of HVAD & MVAD patients currently implanted with a left ventricular assist device (LVAD). The HVAD system includes a mechanical heart pump used to increase the amount of blood that flows through the body. When one of the heart’s natural pumps (a ventricle) does not perform well, an LVAD can be used to increase the amount of blood that flows through the body.

Reporting to the MCS PMO Director, the Senior Program Manager, Product Development will be responsible to manage one or more programs, leading the Projects Team(s) to drive decisions and execute on them. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in program/project management skills, ability to problem-solve, product development, and experience in influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
This position is in Mounds View, MN within the Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) operating unit and requires on-site presence three days a week.

A Day in the Life
In general, the following responsibilities apply to the Senior Product Development Program Manager role. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
In this role, you will serve as the team leader on moderate to complex projects/programs by providing overall leadership, vision, direction, and structure to a cross-functional team. You will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and successful implementation of activities in the development and update of released products. You will lead the team to deliver on business objectives and ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded by leading with integrity, passion, and humility. You will be accountable to PRC Leadership on the overall project/program execution and ensure team commitments are met.
Lead cross functional teams through the product development process to ensure successful completion of development projects, design changes, and compliance programs.
Develop, implement, communicate, and document project strategies and plans including budget and detailed schedule creation and maintenance.
Lead team meetings and other necessary meetings to drive best in class program execution by continually improving quality and effectiveness of how meetings are run, decisions are made, and how work gets done.
Communicate (verbally and in writing) complex topics, catering messages to the specific audience.
Identify and manage stakeholders by keeping stakeholders informed with appropriate and timely information.
Travel >25 % of the time
Qualifications
MUST HAVE - MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree required
7+ years of relevant experience in industry with bachelor’s degree; or 5+ years of relevant experience in industry with an advanced degree
Nice to Have
10+ years of experience in Project and/or People Management
Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
Experience managing and leading projects in the medical device industry
Experience negotiating and managing competing priorities across multiple functional areas.
Experience working cooperatively at all levels in a matrixed environment with diverse teams
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a team environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills; builds trusting relationships with team members and key leadership stakeholders

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$164,800.00 - $247,200.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
