Attend to live farm, ranch animals including cattle; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, catching, and loading animals; Mix feed in prescribed portions; Maintain records on animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Assist in birth deliveries; Closely monitor animal condition in cold, wet, icy weather; Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Conserve animal housing areas; Inspect, maintain, prepare, and repair livestock facilities, pens, yards, feeding/watering equipment; Provide mineral to cattle; Break ice in watering facilities.
