job summary:
A Remote Control Service Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Mossville, IL area. This role involves providing technical support to dealers and customers, coordinating with engineering teams on new product introductions and continuous improvements, and resolving software, hardware, and site application issues in the field of remote control and related products.

responsibilities:
Provide remote and in-person technical support to dealers and customers.
Gather field input for issue fixes, new features, and customer feedback to Hardware, Software, and Networking teams.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and complete related field development and follow-up tasks.
Coordinate and fulfill Field Follow objectives as part of NPI programs.
Resolve customer and dealer issues promptly using established support processes.
Review equipment configurations, including hardware, software, and computer operating systems.
Conduct hands-on problem analysis and provide resolutions.
Escalate priority issues to team lead and collaborate with dealers on issue troubleshooting.
Propose product improvements including functional enhancements and supportability upgrades.
Advocate for dealers and customers to resolve technical product issues with development engineering.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Associates Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience in field heavy equipment support and on-machine technology.
Technical Skills (Required):
Heavy Equipment Electrical and CAN Troubleshooting.
Knowledge of computer software and operating systems (Windows, Ubuntu, Command Line, Terminal).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
Technical Skills (Desired): Network, IT, or A/V support and troubleshooting.
