Big Bend Community College, nestled in the heart of the beautiful Columbia Basin in Central Washington, is calling dynamic professionals to apply for an exciting opportunity as a full-time Fiscal Analyst 2 in our Business Office. As a Fiscal Analyst 2 at BBCC, you'll play a key role in providing complex fiscal budgeting, financial management, and analysis support to our college operations. You'll be at the heart of budgeting and program planning, supporting essential grant and contract accounting, and tackling intricate financial challenges. Your expertise will help drive fiscal integrity and transparency, while your exceptional customer service will support students, staff, and the community at large.

Essential Job Duties

 

Primary essential duties and responsibilities include but will not be limited to the following:

Budget and Financial Oversight

The primary responsibility is to oversee and assist in all budget transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This includes reviewing, monitoring, and updating record-keeping systems for all budget-related activities, such as transactions, reporting, and reconciliation. The role involves making recommendations for improvements to current procedures to better budget management for various programs and assisting in the development of new guidelines. Ensuring that budget control procedures comply with established policies is crucial, as is making sure that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently. Additionally, the position involves conducting in-depth planning and budget studies of both ongoing and proposed programs, offering recommendations for alternative courses of action when necessary, and coordinating budget planning with management to align with organizational goals.

Grant and Contract Management

Another key aspect of the role involves reconciling budgets related to grants and contracts. This includes inputting, revising, and monitoring grant and contract budgets, ensuring they align with the respective grantor's budget.
