Professional Rank and Salary Range: $48,396 (this is the annualized salary rate and will be pro-rated based on date of hire and duration of assignment)

Duration: Temporary, Academic Year (this position follows the 10-month academic year, on a semester-to-semester basis)

Brief Description of Duties:

SUNY Morrisville is seeking a temporary non-tenure track Lecturer to support our Residential Construction program!

This position is a teaching position that provides laboratory and lecture-based support for the residential construction program and provides hands support for residential construction projects.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supervises students in lab and lecture courses

  • Develops lesson plans

  • Training site materials and field site training requirements

  • Develops supporting materials as needed, emphasizes proper use of tools, hardware, equipment care, safety, and standard building practices

  • Will provide support for lectures and labs such as light framing, plumbing, and other residential construction courses.

  • Supports the operation and maintenance of the facilities, such as a safe, orderly shop and work site, maintains daily tool and equipment inventories, and oversees the maintenance/replacement of tools and equipment as necessary.

  • Will assist in building projects for student training purposes both on and off site.

    Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates of Applied Science or AOS in a relevant field: construction management, residential construction or related field.

  • 3+ years' experience in a Construction related field.

  • OSHA 10 Certification

  • Ability to work some weekends and off-campus locations as needed

  • Moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Working outside during all seasons

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Field.

  • OHSA 30 Certification
