Insight Global Tier 3 Network Engineer in Morrisville, North Carolina

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is hiring for a Tier 3 Network Engineer to join their team in a managed service environment. The Tier 3 Engineer will act as a technical SME for a dedicated customer and will act as the highest point of escalation for the customer. Responsibilities include handling high level incidents, day to day improvements along with creating processes for the Tier 1 and Tier 2 engineers.

Responsibilities

 Troubleshoot complex enterprise networks to quickly resolve downtime and outage

 Respond to network management system alarms according to established processes

 Works on complex problems where analysis of situations requires in-depth evaluation of factors

 Manage issues/customers by setting expectations and meeting/exceeding those expectations to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction

 Effectively communicate issues to engineers within the support team, and resolutions/work-around to the customer

 Receive minimal supervision on routine work, and general instruction on new assignments

 Provide guidance and leadership to less experienced engineers

Skills and Requirements

3-5 years of experience in network support

 CCNP or equivalent level of knowledge

 Cisco Routers & Switches - Catalyst & Nexus

 Strong practical knowledge of troubleshooting routing and switching protocols including BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, and STP

 Experience with Cisco wireless technologies WAP, WLC, 9800, etc.

 Experience with F5 Load Balancers

 Understanding of ITIL framework

 Proven crisis management skills

 Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with SDWan

 Experience with Juniper null
