Description and Requirements
This role will be responsible for advising the teams within the Solutions and Services Group on all legal requirements relating to DaaS, IaaS, Managed Services and Industry Solutions in NA. This will include supporting Public Sector sales and building the SSG Public Sector strategy in NA, looking at PS consortium and framework agreements and ensuring compliance with PS requirements for SSG
Establishing legal requirements, and creating governance FW for large complex deals in Public Sector, GSIs, partners and direct customers
Overseeing legal support and assisting in Solution and Services Deals (including Public Sector)
Develop understanding of existing contractual commitments for SSG Customers
Working with the SSG Services Team and PS NA Team to ensure compliance with PS requirements for SSG Services
Advising the SSG Team on a wide range of regulatory and commercial legal issues
provide legal support for the Lenovo Teams developing new services, software and solutions
assist with the development of new solutions and services for Public Sector to facilitate sales
collaborate with internal and outside counsel, specific subject matter experts, and stakeholders to ensure that there is a clear NA PS strategy for SSG
work closely with Lenovo’s lawyers, as well as services teams in the U.S., Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific.
Work closely with the Sales Team and Commercial Contract Management Team to negotiate and close large complex SSG Deals
Work closely with the Global Contracts Team and other Contract Management Teams to ensure that if the COE is supporting SSG Managed Services and they have the necessary training, playbooks and templates
advise SSG Team on a wide range of regulatory and commercial legal issues
effectively engage in issue-spotting and involving legal subject matter experts within the broader corporate-level Lenovo Legal Department
work efficiently to supplement internal resources across Lenovo’s geographies with advice from outside as needed
draft standard templates for new solutions and services
work with the COE to establish a template library for all Services so they can be easily found and maintained
Establish a clear engagement process between legal and service development teams for PS Deals
Basic Job Requirements:
J.D. Degree with strong academic credentials
Current bar membership in the US
12+ years of legal experience with at least 5 years of law firm experience preferred
Prefered Qualifications:
Large complex contracts for enterprise customers
Experience with services & solutions organization
The base salary budgeted range for this position is $150k - 200K. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. Lenovo’s various benefits can be found on [1]www.lenovobenefits.com.
