Affordable Care Digital Laboratory Specialist in Morrisville, North Carolina
Overview
JOB PURPOSE:
The Digital Laboratory Specialist will be an external subject matter expert on digital dental restoration and will provide training services directly to ACI-affiliated practices. This position will partner with affiliated doctors and practice staff to develop a workflow and design scalable and differentiated services relative to external alternatives. As part of this role, the Digital Laboratory Specialist will train clinical and laboratory staff to utilize 3 rd party hardware and software in the submission and receipt of digital prosthetics. The Digital Laboratory Specialist will also develop standard operating procedures and problem-solve for root cause solutions throughout the digital workflow.
Responsibilities
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Train/Instruct staff on all phases of the digital workflow including scan, fabrication and delivery.
Train/Instruct staff to read and understand work orders/prescriptions.
Train/Instruct staff in the proper digitization of clinical records using hardware and software products used by Affordable care.
Manage the onboarding of clinics through written, oral and consistent communication and presentations.
Train/Instruct staff during on-site clinical training. Facilitate training to for mastery of the protocols and techniques demonstrated during training.
Schedule on-site clinical training days optimized to ideally train assigned clinics within centric geographies within reasonable expense standards.
Examine digital clinical records to ensure all necessary information is present and accurate before proceeding to the submission process.
Handle administrative tasks associated with training including but not limited to expertise use of hardware, software, review of case files, and understanding of end-to-end workflow.
Conduct follow-up as prescribed to ensure proper onboarding, troubleshooting and inclusion of digital workflow into daily routine for select prosthetics.
Maintain contact with trained clinics over a 6 month period to include other members of the Digital Training Team
Qualifications
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Proficient in the fabrication of complete dentures and overdentures as well as possess a strong knowledge of dental science, anatomy, and esthetics.
Ability to meet tight deadlines while concurrently and consistently producing quality restorations.
Minimum of 3-5 years experience as clinical on-site trainer.
If working from home, quiet, noise-free home office space that is free of distractions.
Ability to identify and problem-solve independently and within a team environment.
Ability to work on multiple tasks.
Ability to provide detailed production reports upon request.
Strong computer, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with 3Shape Trios, Carestream CBCT, SprintRay, desktop scanners and familiarity with design software
