responsibilities:
Provides counsel and advice to top management on significant Automation Engineering matters often requiring coordination between organizations
Provides expertise in the engineering design installation and startup of automated systems
Acts as the principal designer for complex major automated systems and their subsystems utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology tools and existing designs
May contribute to process validation and facility automation
Provides comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management and staff at the highest technical level on all phases of engineering design installation and startup
Works closely with client and IT management and staff to identify automated solutions new or modified systems reuse of existing machineryequipment or integration of purchased solutions or a combination of the available alternatives
Researches and evaluates alternatives and recommends the most efficient and cost effective automated solutions
Documents tests implements and provides ongoing support for systems
Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines
Recognized internally as the goto person for the most complex Automation Engineer assignments
