Big Rock Sports Sr. Accounts Receivable Specialist in Morehead City, North Carolina

Seeking an experienced, highly organized and efficient individual with extreme attention to detail to join our team as a Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist. This position will be located at our office in Morehead City, NC and is an in-office position.A successful candidate will be dependable, motivated, innovative and exhibit sound judgment andwill be an integral member of the team responsible for duties within Big Rock Sports, Big Rock Sports, Canada and Bluefield Brands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Compile and prepare documentation of deposited transactions for posting per daily transaction list from financial institutions Generate, review and finalize auto-post cash receipt batches Balance Accounts Receivable against General Ledger Respond to customer and internal inquiries Perform monthly statement run for US, Canada and Bluefield Process remote deposits Process ACH (Canada) and credit card payments (Bluefield Brands, Canada) Research and process refund requests Monitor remits email inbox for incoming payments, remittance detail and customer inquiries Manage Canada National Account claims and deductions oResearch legitimacy of claims/deductions oDispute invalid claims/deductions Assist with US National Account escalated claims/deductions Perform account reconciliations, correct posting errors Review and process NA adjustments Manage internal accounts (sample accounts) Research batch errors, determine cause and resolve/correct Assist with reporting Backup AR Specialist duties/responsibilities Backup non-supervisory responsibilities of AR Supervisor Assist NA Allowance Reconciliation Assist with Financial Audits Special projects as necessary Other duties as applicable Competency: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

Education/Experience: Associates degree (A. A.) from two-year college or technical school; or minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, individual should be proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages. Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze and interpret contracts, policies and manuals/guides. Ability to effectively convey information to customers, management and co-workers, in both written and verbal forms. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
