Work hours will be Friday through Monday 3:30A-2:00P each day to help provide weekend coverage for high volume product lines. You will receive the 2nd shift differential for working this weekend shift. *Must be available to train Monday through Friday 5:30A-2:00P on 1st shift and then move to the weekend shift once you are a certified operator. *A $2,000 (Grossed Up) bonus will be paid out to you after you complete 6 months of working on the extended 10hr weekend shift. Overall responsibilities Setup and operate manufacturing equipment in assigned area, Type of operation can be but not limited to cutting, drilling, milling, bending, deburring, chemical finishing, laser etching, assembly etc. Performs semi-routine equipment set-up, operation, and adjustment under minimal to no supervision. Will be responsible for intermediate program and machine preventative maintenance. Set-up, inspection and running CNC, lathe, mill, laser, etc. and other machine operations and entry level Header operations. SME on most operations in department and is considered the trainer for on-the-job training for basic machine operating. Cross train across multiple departments, depending on business need.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Use of various types of measuring instruments including numerous types of gages, micrometers, calipers, comparators, PH meters, conductivity meters, etc. Type of equipment can be but not limited to CNC or manual lathe, mills, grinders, finishing, and packaging equipment etc. Completion of documentation as required by the process, inspection sheets and work instructions. Perform preventive maintenance and 5S related tasks as it pertains to the assigned area including but not limited to maintaining coolant levels, emptying chip containers, etc. Follow appropriate safety practices to prevent accidents to self or others. Coordinates with other team members to set up machines according to set-up sheets. Follow all laws and policies as they apply to one's job and to maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics, and compliance always. Participate in and understand all compliance related activities pertaining to the job assignment. Monitor machine rejects to assure that parts are being sorted and ran daily. Learn and understand lean initiatives (i.e., 5S, etc.). Must be able to engage with others in a positive and constructive manner that is conducive to good teamwork in a production environment. Learn and retain process requirements and metrics in assigned area to meet safety, quality, compliance, and production goals as well as training requirements. Work during assigned shift schedule and meet associated attendance requirements to work extra hours when required by business needs. Follow process sheets, perform first piece inspections and in process quality checks. Train other employees up to your competency level, act as the line lead or SME. Intermediate to advanced machine troubleshooting skills. Performs equipment set-up, operation, and adjustment. Understanding regulatory requirements from FDA, OSHA and other governing bodies Advise engineering on fixes and process improvements, and support implementation. Advanced skills in inspection to as ist in dialing in processes to the hundredths of a millimeter or smaller. Ability to use measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.). Knowledge of end-to-end streamline, business units. Ensure that assigned area is clean and organized. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Work direction may additionally be communicated verbally through visual aids and set-up sheets. Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabils software packages. Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Need to currently be an Operator II or higher Basic written and verbal communication and basic computer skills General math skills High School diploma or equivalent Previous industrial or manufacturing experience in regulated industry required. CNC, Lathe and manual machining experience preferred. 2-5 years related experience. English: Business fluent The hourly pay range for this role is $15.38 - $27.69.
