BEP Lyman LLC dba Carpentry Contractors Company (ABC Panels) headquartered at 520 3rd Street, Ste. 200 Excelsior, MN 55331phone number: (763) 658-4000, is looking to fill twenty (20) Carpenter Helper positions from 05.15.2024 to 12.31.2024. This is for full time, peak-load temporary employment. Duties include: Carpenter Helper duties including helping carpenters by performing duties requiring less skill, including carrying tools and wood, making simple wood cuts, fastening lumber with staples and tack plates, positioning wood forms and holding lumber in place using a jig. Clean up job site. Must be able to follow safety procedures. Will be exposed to strenuous physical activity and repetitive motions. Special requirements include: one month (1) of woodworking, construction or related experience required. Workers may be required to work weekends and/or flexible shifts. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. 25 yds. Must be able to pass employer-paid preemployment, post-accident, and/or other random drug testing. Proper and accurate use of tape measure required. The pay rate is $17.32 per hour with overtime available at $25.98 per hour, based on hourly rate. 40 hours per week from 1st shift: Mon-Thurs - 5:00AM to 3:30PM (w/ 30 min lunch), 2nd shift Mon-Wed 4:00PM to 4:30AM and Thurs 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM (w/ 30 min lunches). Job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. Daily travel to worksites in the area of intended employment is required. The requested temporary workers will be based at 100 Zephyr Avenue, Montrose, MN 55363 and will service clients within the Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington, MN-WI, including the counties of Wright County. Employer provides transportation to and from all worksites. Single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Pay period is weekly. Employer provides housing to the workers at a weekly payroll deduction of $85.00. Housing is optional. Employer provides transportation to the workers at a weekly payroll deduction of $15.00. Employer will make all deductions required by law. Workers may be held financially liable for any willful or negligent damage to company equipment, property, or provided housing. The offered housing is optional to workers. Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide worker, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job and on the job training in the proper use of tools and equipment. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period only to the extent that this guarantee is enforced by the Department of Labor.
