Your role

As Senior Research Analyst, you manage quantitative and qualitative research projects, from designing collection tools (surveys, focus groups, etc.) and managing the collection process, to analyzing data and presenting the results to internal clients from all Radio-Canada media lines (radio, television and digital). You are also responsible for managing external and internal web panels used to conduct a variety of surveys.

You will have the following responsibilities:

  • Design, carry out and present results for quantitative and qualitative research projects to support internal client decision-making.

  • Manage external and internal web panels: plan and develop online surveys and ensure quality control (questionnaire development and scheduling, field and data quality monitoring, processing with SPSS software, data analysis, reporting and presentation of results to internal clients).

  • Lead research projects based on data from surveys and other external sources (e.g., Statistics Canada, Environics), draft executive-level reports and present findings to internal clients.

This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.

What you bring:

  • Master’s degree in social science with a research profile (social psychology, sociology, marketing or other relevant field)

  • At least three (3) years’ experience in quantitative and qualitative research

  • Ability to design and carry out quantitative and qualitative studies with a high degree of independence, from developing measuring instruments (questionnaires, discussion guides, etc.) to delivering final reports, including field monitoring, data quality verification and weighting

  • Strong analysis, writing, communication and self-management skills, especially for the drafting of survey questionnaires and reports

  • Highly skilled at working with statistics and computers (including programming questionnaires into survey management software and using SPSS software to analyze survey data) as well as eagerness to learn new software suites

  • Knowledge of the media industry in the francophone market is an asset

  • Experience managing a digital user panel is an asset

  • Knowledge of Environics data is an asset

Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.

We thank all applicants for their interest, but only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
