WSP USA Senior Business Analyst - Project Delivery in Montreal, Quebec

The Opportunity:

WSP Canada is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our National Project Delivery team, to support our operational sectors. This role is critical to the continual improvement of our Project Delivery framework, and will provide ample opportunity for the successful candidate to build relationships with various corporate and operational functions, while expanding their skills and understanding of the enterprise and its culture.

Reporting to the National Director, Project Delivery, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing standard project delivery governance processes and methodologies, as per guidelines provided by WSP Global and project management best practices, to support our sectors’ project teams to efficiently deliver our projects to our external customers.

What you can expect to do here:

  • In collaboration with the National Director, Project Delivery, define the future architecture of the project management delivery framework, in alignment with WSP Global and WSP Canada regional strategy, and collaborate with the Transformation project management team to plan activities and follow progress.

  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with the Global project delivery and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) teams, with the different project teams within WSP Canada sectors, and with corporate colleagues.

  • Develop project delivery documentation and tools for the project management community, such as processes, work instructions, cheat sheets, and work in collaboration with the different sectors and the change management team to implement.

  • Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) module for the Canada Horizon program, to support our Canadian PM community, and to collaborate with the Global ERP team for defects’ resolution and enhancements implementation.

  • In collaboration with change management team, assess impacts of new initiatives or proposed changes on existing project management processes and tools, providing insights on potential impacts on project outcomes and overall organizational performance.

  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops to understand current processes and build future processes.

  • Map current-state processes and systems to identify areas for improvement within project management practices and contribute to refining processes, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement.

  • Provide analytical support to project teams, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.

  • Act as a change champion, demonstrating a positive and constructive attitude towards change, and actively promoting the development of this mindset among team members and stakeholders.

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • 10 or more years of experience in business analysis, or equivalent experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • PMI Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) and/or Lean Certification and/or equivalent certification or experience.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and process mapping documentation skills.

  • Excellent collaboration, facilitation, and communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).

  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience working in a consulting engineering or construction environment is an asset.

  • Fluency in both French and English is a major asset.

  • Experience in Oracle is an asset.
