Summary
The Transformation team combines the expertise of operational and service transformation professionals who connect and empower our people and customers through innovative service experiences. The incumbent will join a dynamic team, which is accountable to deliver solutions for Bell internal users helping Sales and Service Transformation.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Software Architecture, the incumbent of this position is a technical Architect who will have to contribute to several phases of the software life cycle such as planning, design, conception and implementation of several applications. The incumbent will establish a vision and roadmap for several solutions influencing multiple domains driving by desire to improve service experiences continuously.
Key Responsibilities
Works with architects, software developers and various information technology, network and business operations subject-matter experts to analyze the needs for the corporation and its customers, evaluates them and proposes solutions.
Responsible for the solution architecture, design and cost/impact assessment artefacts.
Build clear vision and roadmap in collaboration with other solution architects and technical architects.
Provide architectural guidelines and best practices for the technical team.
Identify opportunities with the business to deliver building blocks to get to the target architecture.
Participate to the planning and coordination of the project’s activities with Senior Manager and Project Managers.
Document solution by creating and maintaining referral documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams and charts.
Identify skillset gaps in the team and provide a training roadmap to address knowledge gaps in the team
Design workflow applications that automate internal use cases and eliminate manual processes
Critical Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Five (5) years of experience delivering scalable enterprise systems in computer and networking technology preferably in a telecommunication environment.
Proven hands-on experience as a Solution Architect.
Proven record of accomplishment in systems integration with experience in software development and infrastructure design for large scale distributed systems and applications.
Excellent communications skills required. (written, oral)
Experience in agile environment is desirable.
Knowledge of workflow and decision automation platforms like Camunda is an asset.
Good knowledge in software development (C#, JavaScript, Python/.Net Core) and the following frameworks / technologies: REST, SOAP, XML, Micro Services architecture/deployment, OpenShift,
Good knowledge of data store systems: Elasticsearch, Cassandra, MySQL, MSSQL, T-SQL, data modeling.
Good knowledge of Linux, Unix and Windows.
Knowledge on Virtualization and Containerization is desirable
Knowledge in Robotic Process Automation is an asset.
Knowledge in Artificial Intelligence is an asset.
Knowledge on architecture framework as TOGAF is an asset.
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
Additional Requirements
Availability to work occasional weekends or evenings to meet hard deadlines and to support deployment activities.
Mobile profile as per Bell Workways policy, enabling part time teleworking.
