Job Description
Summary
The Bilingual Advisor Onboarding &Transition Specialist is a critical and multi-functional role within Manulife Wealth business development organization. This role supports our new French and English-speaking advisors joining Manulife Wealth and providing key transition support to existing advisors based across Canada.
Job responsibilities:
Advisor and Licensed assistant due diligence - 25%
Work closely with the field team and act as key Head Office relationship support
Package and send the due diligence screening documents to recruits upon request
Conduct and analyze credit/criminal checks and regulatory checks and involve compliance when necessary to ensure recruits meet the requirements
Work with compliance in obtaining approvals for any outside business activities, trade names and know your advisor conversations
Present recruits to the Due Diligence committee for approvals on a weekly basis
Work with the field team and finance to analyze and ensure that the financial analysis meets our minimum Investment Representative standards when creating a term sheet to present to potential recruits, as it relates to our Organic Growth Program
Work with Legal department to draft binding agreement for sign off from senior management and recruit
Track all activities in Salesforce ensuring accuracy
Advisor Transition Support - 75%
Act as support for our new advisors transitioning their books of business to Manulife Wealth Inc.
Welcome to Manulife program
Responsible for handling Business Initiation kits to be available to new advisors in a timely manner for dedicated territory
Responsible for leading stationery and signage needs for advisors in dedicated territory
Lead new advisors using the Integration Support Program as a guideline
Track activities created by proactive conversations with new advisors in Salesforce
Oversee and handle MFD to ID process and act as a resource to advisors transitioning from MFD to ID
When appropriate, travel to key branches to offer support to qualifying advisors
Lead advisor relocations and departures
Updating policies and procedures

What we are looking for
Post-secondary education, diploma, or equivalent experience
Extensive experience in the financial services industry and investment management.
Consistent track record to multi-task, show initiative and anticipate needs in a proactive manner
Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address operational gaps
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle several priorities simultaneously
Bilingual
The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.

Salary & Benefits
The annual base salary for this role is listed below.
Primary Location
Montreal, Quebec
Salary range is expected to be between
$68,250.00 CAD - $113,750.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
