Ralph S Alberts Co., Inc. Production (1st Shift) in Montoursville, Pennsylvania

For 60 years the Ralph S Alberts Company has been a leader in the custom molding industry serving a variety of industries. We are growing and expanding our production to cater to even more industries and are looking to add dependable employees to our highly skilled team!

Candidates will be required to stand at a workbench for a minimum of 8 hours a day. Overtime will be required. Although we accept medical marijuana cards for most positions, candidates must be willing to submit to a pre-employment physical which may include respirator testing, drug testing, and a criminal history background check.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble molds and required armatures; safely operate small hand and pneumatic tools, working with various sizes and types of hardware, and applying hazardous and non-hazardous solvents as needed.
  • Cleaning and preparing molds for future processing.
  • Remove finished or cured parts from molds
  • Utilize and read hand-held gauging instruments, tape measure, calipers, or other quality and measuring devices to evaluate and visually inspect parts for durometer and surface defects, ensuring conformance to part specifications, indicating non-conforming parts areas requiring rework.
  • Lift and/or maneuver molds or armatures which may reach or exceed 50 lbs. in weight from floor to waist height; assistance from others is available for handling molds or armatures exceeding 50 lbs. in weight.
  • Read and follow standard work instructions on the job router to ensure conformance to part specifications, ensuring any/all department information centers are kept up to date with proper information.

Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Able to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. This is a physical position and molds are large and bulky.
  • Good dexterity with hands
  • Good work ethic and history
  • Team player
  • Previous experience with small hand and pneumatic tools, hazardous and non-hazardous solvents, adhesives, and other job-related supplies.
  • Some computer work is required. Basic knowledge of computer operating systems is helpful.

Working hours for this position are Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm with overtime.
