This is a job for a Project Manager position with the company located in the Monticello, MS area.
Responsibilities:
Interface with Project Management Organization (PMO), Businesses and Plant Leadership to develop and deliver small projects (up to $5M) to reduce cost, increase capacity, improve safety, and sustain operations.
Provide Project Leadership to 10-20 projects at a time that are in various phases of the project work process and various/multiple locations in the appropriate Region. Promote team culture that is focused on meeting commitments while maintaining a safety excellence.
Empower project team members to understand and accept their accountabilities by ensuring project delivery expectations are clearly defined to meet the project objectives.
Provide leadership to remove project obstacles by working with, and through, others. Facilitate interface between design-build partners and internal GP partners (mill/business). Provide oversight for project status (cost, schedule, risk), GP procedure equipment and services, and project change management. Ensure coordination with facilities for integrating project startup (Day 1 Readiness). Drive a continuous improvement mindset using lean construction principles. Manage portfolio of project metrics and benchmarks to attain targets/improvement.
Qualification:
3 or more years of experience working within a manufacturing or military environment. 3 or more years of experience of project and/or construction management of industrial / manufacturing construction projects.
Experience with project and construction management systems and concepts. Able to travel regionally at least 50%-75% of the time (Project Dependent Fluctuates).
