DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Location: Montgomeryville, United States of America

This is an on-site 3rd shift position in Montgomeryville, PA, USA.

Position Summary Thales is currently seeking a Mechanical Manufacturing Technician 3rd Shift, for an on-site role in Montgomeryville, PA. In the position of Maintenance Technician, you will support Thales' customer commitment for quality products delivered on time by maintaining all production equipment in OEM condition while minimizing downtime and expense.

Key Areas of Responsibility:  * Troubleshoot, Repair and Maintain all production equipment in OEM or standard operating condition. Test faulty equipment using precision test apparatus.  * Apply knowledge of functional operation of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and vacuum systems to perform complex diagnostics to determine the root cause of malfunctions and execute timely repairs of equipment.  * Repair or replace defective parts and wiring.  * Align, adjust and calibrate machines according to specifications and carry out preventive maintenance per written procedures.  * Maintenance of microprocessor-based control equipment, general instrumentation and electrical control systems used to carry out first line diagnostic, troubleshooting and maintenance work.  * Investigate the root cause of issues and provide information to Engineers and Project Leaders, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:  * High School Diploma  * 5 years of experience as a mechanical, electrical or electro-mechanical technician, or relevant combination of experience and education.  * Must be able to read and understand relay logic and schematic diagrams, perform tests and follow calibration procedures using test equipment and instrumentation.  * Ability to listen, speak, and write in the English language is required.  * Must be able to use various hand tools, power tools, saws, drill press, volt/ohm meter, oscilloscope, amp probe, soldering iron.  * Ability to use routine software applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
