Shee Atika Government Services ANR - Business Capture Manager in Montgomery, Alabama

Alaska Northstar Resources is hiring! We are actively searching for a Business Capture Manager to join the team. This position is remote but will require travel based on the work required and the clients and sectors the position serves.

The Capture Manager will support activities throughout the Business Development and Proposal lifecycle. This includes building collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, creating opportunities, identifying opportunities, and maturing opportunities through the capture process, as well as supporting responses to market research by strategically guiding the development of RFI responses and white papers. The Capture Manager will support the proposal process and participate in the transition of successful efforts to program management after the award.

The Business Capture Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Opportunity Discovery:

Identify and formulate new Federal Government contract opportunities through research using tools such as GovWin, SAM.gov, GSA MAS Schedules, as well as organization-specific websites.

Collect relevant information for qualified opportunities through customer engagements, requirement solicitation research tools, and build workspace records supporting the collaborative development of Capture Plans.

Opportunity Qualification:

Collect, understand, and convey client needs and challenges; determine client preference for ANR; understand and determine the ability to influence acquisition strategy; assess incumbents and likely competitors; define confidence milestones and exit criteria for bid/no-bid decisions.

Partner with account leadership to validate approach; explore innovations and other ANR strengths that can be reflected in evaluation factors; ensure the firm's full capabilities align with solicitation requirements.

Competitive Alignment:

Lead or contribute to discussions with decision-makers and influencers to better understand requirements, risk areas, solution dependencies, and validation techniques.

Will be influential in formulating technical and management approaches and determining unique staffing characteristics and teammate preferences (when required).

This may include engaging ANR and government stakeholders to gain acquisition strategy/timeline information through virtual meeting tools, phone calls, and email communication.

Bid and Proposal Strategy:

Support the development of teaming strategies and win themes; drive the reconciliation of strengths and weaknesses; partner with business development personnel and pricing leadership to determine pricing strategy; articulate time and resource commitment requirements to maximize the probability of a win.

Work with Business Analysts and Business Development Management to prepare and lead gate review briefs to enable opportunity pursuit decisions by the appropriate corporate leadership.

Solution Development Support:

Partner with solutions architects and subject matter experts to identify and solidify solutions that address client needs and challenges; explore likely technical scenarios and associate ANR with proof points; support the development of management approach scenarios and past performance citations.

This may involve collaborating with corporate leadership to establish Marketing Strategies for new target markets.

Proposal Development:

Partner with ANR Proposal Managers, Subject Matter Experts, Business Development leadership and pursuit team to develop, review, and refine the formal response to prospective client solicitations; support the review of proposal artifacts to ensure compliance with all requirements; participate in oral presentation preparation and/or coaching.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen
  • Candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain common access card (CAC)
  • Candidate must have a bach lors degree
  • Candidate must have the ability to travel based on the work required and the clients and sectors the position serves.
  • Candidate must have a minimum 3 years combined experience with any of the following: strategic capture, proposal development, solutions development, and/or costing and pricing, leveraging structured capture/proposal methodologies.
  • Candidate must have a minimum 5 years' experience as a capture manager developing and leading multiple capture efforts that have won measurable US Federal Government contracts in the last 5 years.
  • Candidate must have a minimum 7 years' experience within US Federal Government market in information technology, professional services, and/or management and/or business development fields
  • Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Candidate must have excellent time management skills
  • Candidate must be capable of highly effective virtual management and communications via independent work and use of technologies, such as webinars, conference calls, video-teleconferencing, etc.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Master's degree in business or technical field
  • Business/Operational experience working for and with Defense organizations responsible for major business processes and supporting information technology.
  • Experience researching Federal Government procurement principles and policies.
  • Experience with GovWin, SAM, Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), and other opportunity research tools.
  • Technical understanding, professional certification, or experience with Cloud, Application Services, Cyber Security, and/or NETOPS fields
