Production Engineering area for packing drives LCI and IMS plan, facilitates the transition/execution ofprojects/improvementsto production, and support operations problem solving.

The main challenges for this position are the stakeholder management, participation with other plants to share best practices, follow up the tactical implementation plan, ensure the identification of opportunity areas and execution of projects to address them.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Creation of procedures

  • Installation of new equipment and engineering changes

  • Daily support in production lines

  • Search for opportunity areas to improve equipment and processes

  • Contact with suppliers, quotations and purchases

  • Improvement projects following the guidelines in LEGO Project Management.

  • Continuous improvement projects following the guidelines in LEGO Continuous Improvement (LCI).

  • Align with IMS requirements

  • Maintenance and updating of information (SAP BW)

  • Interaction and support production systems.

  • Support to other areas with respect to implementations of projects where production in Final Pack or Prepack could be affected.

  • Report any kind of incident occurred in LOM, immediately to the responsible authorities. (For example: Immediate supervisor, EHS area, etc.)

  • Follow established guidelines according to the policies for Safety, Health, Environment and Quality governed within the LEGO Group

  • Actively participate in activities related to the topic of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality in the plant. (For example: Training, drills, programs, etc.)

  • Follow the guidelines established in the processes in Global and Local way to fulfill the requirements of the OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001

  • Deliver on time and schedule the established processes and procedures related to the environmental care, including the correct waste handling and recycling, as well as the correct use of all resources like water and electricity, report any missing material for achieving these processes in the right form, also participate with any continuous improvement ideas focused on the environmental care.

This role gives to the Engineer exposure to work with different areas within LOM and globally, seeing topics that vary from day to day operation in Packing, to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement. This position has to work hand-by-hand with the Packing managers to ensure that the projects and ideas implemented are a right fit for the area.

Do you have what it takes?

  • 5 years experience inproduction&manufacturingor engineering areas

  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge

  • English fluent level

  • IT competencies: PC proficient, Excel

  • Skills: Analysis and problem solving, continuous improvement tools, partnership, proactive, leadership, excellent oral and written communication, statistics

  • Projects execution, integrated management system (safety and quality).

Note: This position is based at our LEGO Operaciones de Mexico manufacturing factory located in Cienega de Flores, NL This is not a remote position
