Job Title: Wastewater Operator
Job Description
As a wastewater operator, your primary role will be to operate equipment to purify and clarify water, process it, or dispose of sewage. You will be responsible for collecting and testing water and sewage samples, documenting and reporting test results to regulatory agencies. Additionally, you will add chemicals as needed to disinfect water or other liquids, monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges, and record meter and gauge readings and operational data. Your duties will also include cleaning and maintaining equipment, tanks, filter beds, and other work areas in compliance with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regulations. Ensuring safety standards are met is a crucial part of this role.
