The SSG Process Development team is looking to add an expert level research engineer to the dynamic group. Your principal responsibility is leading the technical transfer of new OLED products from lab scale to manufacturing facilities. You will work onsite at our Monroeville, PA R&D Center. You will report to the Group Leader II.
Key Responsibilities * Lead the development and implementation strategy for effective technical transfers of new products/processes into the global manufacturing facilities. * Ownership of detailed technology transfer packages to facilitate process transfer from the lab to a manufacturing site, including process flow diagram, mass balances, critical to quality process parameters, safety assessments, batch log-sheet reviews, etc. * Work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate the transfer process and address challenges. * Collaborate with process development team to identify potential process issues, collect/analyze process data for scale-up calculations, understand new processes and technology as they related to manufacturing operations. * Work with engineering to identify key process parameters for scale-up and develop a process workflow for new manufacturing processes * Monitor and evaluate the progress of technology transfer projects, identifying areas for optimization and implementation of improvement plan. * Implement a RFT metric to evaluate effectiveness of the tech transfer process. * Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis during the technical transfer process. * Works in a safe manner. Reads, understands and follows all pertinent SOPs
Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or closely related field * Strong project management skills * 6+ years of proven experience in tech transfer or process technology within the chemical industry.
